Violent Lip Tutorial: Violet Lips

Hey you beautiful queens! We’re back with a fresh video for your viewing pleasure. We’re here with Jessica and in this week’s video she is going to be showing you a tutorial and a product review as she tests out the temporary lip tattoos from Violent Lips to create a stunning Violent Violet lip look.

We’ve been getting a ton of questions asking our opinion on this product, so we figured we would give them a try and let you lovely ladies (and glam guys, we love you too <3 ) what we think of them.

These temporary lip tattoos are so cool. Plus they come in a variety of styles and colors that are perfect for creating glamorous looks. They've even got some really cool custom designs like flags, animal print, and so many more.

This product seems like a simple, no-fuss alternative to normal lipsticks and lip stains. The package says that these temporary tattoos will last for eight hours. You can even eat with them on, although the package also says you should avoid eating greasy foods with them on.

Jessica is going to show us how to apply them, and see how well they hold up throughout the day.

Applying The Temporary Lip Tattoos

Here is what they look like out of the package. These will definitely need to be trimmed before application.

Luckily, they pop right out of the package and even have guidelines for trimming them down to the right size.

After you have them trimmed and measured to custom fit your lips, remove the plastic film and starting with the top lip, align the temporary tattoo to your lip.

The colored side of the transfer paper is slightly adhesive, so it should stick right in place, although the outer corners may need a bit of help to stay in place

Once you have the transfer in place, you are going to use a damp cloth or paper towel to moisten the whole piece of paper that it comes on just like any other temporary tattoo.

When the tattoo transfer is moist enough, the paper will slide right off. After removing the paper, you can use the same wet cloth to gently press down any lose corners or edges of the temporary tattoo.

It’s really important to stretch your lips when applying these temporary tattoos to ensure even application.

Now all that’s left is to let it dry for a couple minutes and she’s ready to go! Jessica is going to go about her day as she normally would, and eat some food to see how these temporary tattoos hold up...

4 Hours in and Disaster Strikes

After about 4 hours, and a meal... the temporary tattoos have started to peel up from the corners. It may be a combination of natural salivation, and getting wet while eating, but it may also be due to the fact that it is a bit hot and humid in Edmonton right now.

That being said, They do look great when they are first applied, and may hold up longer in less extreme temperatures. They would probably be great for a photoshoot or maybe during winter when we aren’t being melted by the sun all day.

Luckily they come off without any mess, and peel off about the same as eyelash glue that you would use for faux mink 3D lashes from dollar eyelash club.
