3 Easy Summer Hairstyles that Will Save Your Life in the Heat

There’s no doubt about updos when it comes to the heat.  Where certain styles will change with the season for fashion, summer hairstyles are all about finding cute ways to keep your hair off your neck and out of the way.  Here are 3 easy summer hairstyles that will keep you cool and cut the time you spend styling.

The Samurai Bun

This style takes a few practice runs but is well worth the time.  Comb all your hair back, nixing your part and gathering your hair around the crown of your head.  Twist softly into a neat bun and secure with a ponytail holder or pins (it’s about preference).

Once you’ve got the hang of it, this style is fitting for the office and happy hour.

The Quick Chignon

Whether you need to prepare for wedding season or are simply looking for another summer style option, the quick chignon is the style you’ll wear time and time again.

Start by combing your hair out and then gently twist the hair from the nape of your neck all the way to the ends.  Create a long twist and secure at the bottom with a ponytail holder (or hold it with your index finger).  From there, you’ll need to work to secure the bottom on the top, bottom, and sides with large bobby pins.

The High Ponytail

If you were alive and over 5 years old at any point during the 90s or 2000s, you’ll be happy to hear that the high ponytail is still in business.  Not only is this beloved style of the easiest hair hacks in the book, it’s a great way to keep flowing hair away from your face.

Need more volume in your ponytail?  Tease the base of your ponytail or use texturizing hairspray before to tousle your hair before you tie it back.  If you’re looking for a little more personalization, don’t be afraid to add a few braids in the mix.

Remember, when those high temperatures roll around you’re going to want those strands off your shoulders.  Opt for one of our styles to save yourself from the heat.
